The Special Olympics King Pins Bowling League began in September, 1999. The league was started with 6 athletes and two volunteers on the first day. Now the league has over 100 athletes and 60 volunteers. In October 2016, Special Olympics added a second bowling league to the Memphis area at Billy Hardwick’s All-Star Lanes.
